Some people have had problems with the new hose seeming to "ooze" a slimy
napalm-like goo from under the protective sleeves. You can search the
archives here and on Samba to find more info. Supposedly people who use new
sleeves instead of re-using the old ones have not had this problem.
It happened to me, I am not sure whether to blame the fuel line or the
sleeves, but I had to re-do my lines in less than a month due to the ooze.
If you want to use the original OEM-type crimp clamps on the hoses, they are
available at GermanSupply.com. I like the look of them and they are quick
to install, but are not re-usable and must be cut off to remove.
