I have a Daihatsu HiJet 4x4 mini truck - that 660cc engine really REALLY has to work to get me going 100km/h. The fact that these vans are heavier means that they would only be practical in the city which really is what they were designed for. I drove from Quesnel to Vancouver and back this past weekend in my HiJet... 95km/h average going down and 85km/h average coming back with a 245kg BMW R1100 GS in the back... yeah, I'll pass on another one of these trucks - oh yeah, mine is now for sale if anyone is interested!
