Thanks to all who replied with information on my stupid stereo battery
drain. I'll try the face plate turn off trick as soon as I can recharge the
battery on the van [for some odd reason my 'house battery' is also almost
flat, and it was not connected to the stereo at all. But it will be]

I guess I'll just jump from my N*ss*n and drive around for a while to charge
both batteries.
