And remind him that a VW bus full of college guys driving through Louisiana,
Mississippi and Florida during spring break is a huge temptation for the
local cops.  He should expect to be stopped (and maybe searched) for very
little reason (or maybe even no reason) by some aggressive good old southern
boys living out their dreams a cops.  You should also encourage him to not
drive over the speed limit since traffic court is a good source of revenue
for small towns and counties in these recessionary times and cops want to do
their part to raise money.

Otherwise, don't worry.  If you are even considering letting him take this
trip in the bus, both he and the bus will be fine.

Also, worrying isn't going to do any good anyway...
