Subject: Ripoff artists named (TheSamba)
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

These two advertisers on TheSamba took my money and ran:

1) Michael Tevis 2961 Hwy 32 #68 Chico, CA 95926 <latebidder@yahoo.com> <michaeltevis@hotmail.com> $225.00US

2) Danged if I can remember his name now! It's in my files on my other Mac, which is having its power-supply repaired right now... $80.00US

Number 1 took PayPal and then made excuses as to why the items weren't arriving at the LA container terminal (eg that FedEx couldn't find the terminal!). Now he won't reply to e-mails.

Number 2 took an $80 deposit, then changed his e-mail address. He owns a mechanical shop in eastern USA.

Both of these were for 1986-or-later front suspension parts, which I need for my brake upgrade. So I'm down $598NZ and nothing to show for it.

Avoid these clowns at all costs! Now to see if I can post about this on TheSamba...

I'll have to post Number 2's name when I remember it or have the 6116 up and running again.
