In fact I had no option to make such a posting if I ever wanted to
find out what had happened to my money and purchase.

The vendor was not replying to my messages (maybe he didn't receive
them) and tried to send the parts to a misspelled address despite my
having sent the correct address (not long after I sent the incorrect
one); again, perhaps he didn't receive the correction, tjhough I
certainly sent it (still have it in my mailbox). He failed to contact
me to see what was going on about the address, except for one
occasion, and then he didn't tell me WHY the address was not accepted,
then no more contact from him, leaving me to think that he was up to
no good.

So, though I was too emphatic in my accusations (I should have
SUGGESTED that he was a crook, rather than saying he DEFINITELY IS
one, for instance), I did have reason to think something smelled. I
COULD have done it differently, but only in degree, not kind.

OK, it looks like he's honest... I will keep the list updated as to
happenings on this issue; I haven't heard back from Michael Tevis
since he reoffered to send the parts on Wed. FYI he isn't a vanagon
listee.

Also of note... I have several times heard on and off the list that
some vendors have refused to send paid-for parts until their refusals
were put out in public view (this list).
