That appears to be the exact same adapter that I've been using for about three years with my HP notebook though I had to pay a lot more than that. One caution: If using that for your laptop, after setting the little switch for the right voltage for your device place a piece of tape over the switch so it can't be accidentally changed. But mine has worked perfect and was less than a third the price of the factory 12v adapter.
