If you get your battery fully charged and can run without lights, blower, etc, just the bare minimum of electrical loads, you should be able to drive it for some distance before it craps out again. *IF AND ONLY IF* the alternator belt is good, because that also drives the water pump. That should get you into Tacoma to where you can get an alternator and a couple-three wrenches if needed. Most likely a regulator/brush set and a little right-angle screwdriver to reach its mounting screws will get you back running again. NAPA and Advance both carry them. There's a NAPA about five miles from you at 10615 Bridgeport Way SW, Tacoma, WA - (253) 582-1545 -- north off exit 125, it's just north of 108th St SW.

Don't forget to begin your work by removing the battery ground cable (should be 10mm wrench).
