RE: Radio pulls battery down I'm puzzled by this thread and others like it in the past. First, when I put in the Pioneer head unit in my '90 the face wanted to remain lit. To the manual, sure enough there was an option. Set it to turn off and never had a problem since. Don't ask me how, it's several years ago, I don't remember, just know the option was there on my el-cheapo unit. I'd be amazed if the same option wasn't there on other makes and models. Second, if the radio/head unit is properly wired there should be virtually no drain, 10-20 mills at the most. I know my Pioneer called for two power leads, one hot all the time, one switched with the ignition. So that's what I did. I repeat, no problems. So, can I suggest taking a good look at the way the units have been wired in? And checking the manual for optional configurations?
