dear parent
good decision --
i was imagining all sorts of scenarios and wondering how you would sleep at
night
i have had several people ask me if they could borrow my westie for a
vacation or some sort of trip ---
sure i say ... give me a cheque for 30K and have all the fun you want --
the stunned look on their face is usually the last i hear about it ...
one person was asking me if i would sell my van to her and her boyfriend as
they were going to pick fruit for two seasons in the BC Okanagan
i asked her how much she thought they would be spending to get a decent van
to make their way --- 2 or 3 thousand -- she says
i laughed so hard that it was the last words we exchanged -- it made a funny
sneer face -- and said --
it is just an old volkswagen --
indeed ---
Mike your relationship with your boy will become much better after his
return from spring break---
i doubt either of you will even speak of this again ...
until you are hoary headed and your grinders are worn flat --
about the year 2035 ... when your grandson is thinking of heading off to
florida --
for the annual girls gone wild --
:P
yours
