I'm a Westy owner (MVC) and a Quattro lover too. I used to drive an 88 Audi 90 and wrench on my buddy's 89 Audi 90 Quattro. Fabulous cars, yes. It made me wish for a 5-cyl powered Syncro Vanagon!
