Yup...I said NO to the trip. These guys all go to an expensive private University(I know, I pay the bill) and they can't sh*^ 300.00 between the 6-8 guys going to rent a vehicle. What happens when the alternator fails on the road...I will be the one to send the $$ for repairs. Told them if they're so busted, maybe a job over the break is a better idea. I am very disappointed in the situation as I would NEVER pull this crap. I joined military at 17 and did the rest by myself with help from my one-owner spouse :-). Two kids in college(one just graduated and moved to Tucson) and I'm only 42. Broke now, though hehehe. Just don't feel that kids are all that self-sufficient nowadays[Craig C excluded, of course]. Guess it is my fault. Anyway, thanks for the input.
