Subject: free gas tank Boulder area

I replaced the gas tank in my '81 with the new one that was not defective.... See the thread from a couple weeks ago: "re: did I get a defective gas tank".

The one that was removed--that was giving me crud in the filter--is also an after-market--same as what I put in. Same "C" symbol, with 0409 B on it. The new one had 0404 B.

If anyone in the front range area wants this tank to salvage, you are welcome. The exterior looks perfect; the interior looks good. Maybe a flush would clean out the crud. Let me know.

Richard
