Nah, she lived with a hippie guy in their hippie bus. Last scenes with her were shot in Slab City, CA, near the Salton Sea.

No one got eaten by a bear in Into the Wild near as I can recall. The boy may have died from starvation, or starvation plus consumption of a toxic mold.

There were no Vanagons in the movie, I believe. Taking this thread too far afield for even a Friday.
