Subject: Lower Control Arm Bushing R&R
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

Thanks archives!

After cobbling some crap together, I easily got the lower control arm bushings out.

But.....

If I press the new ones using the same method in reverse, (socket pushing metal sleeve) does the metal sleeve run the risk of separating from the rubber?

Bentley shows the VW411 tool. It *appears* to be the same OD as the sleeve. (i.e. similar to what I'm doing) Just double checking as I really wouldn't want to ruin the new parts.

FWIW, I tried a larger socket pushing on the rubber, and that did NOT work.

Thanks!
