I don't think they care either, but I do, and hence the warning to the
list that there *IS* a problem morally and legally with installing HID
kits in halogen lamps - basically you no longer comply with DOT / SAE /
ECE regs and the lights are illegal.
My Touareg comes with
factory HIDs and they are not an issue with on coming drivers - I can
certainly tell the cars with the pimped out HID kits as they are dazzling
as all get out - annoying and unsafe.
