I started seeing people encouraging the guy to do it, ..........talking about the pilot bearing etc. and I'm thinking 'wasn't this about an auto trans?' .........it is.

and it's not just a tranny swap, the guy is contemplating rebuilding his own vanagon automatic trans. Daryl made some insightful comments on that today, on the list.

I'd say yes, go for it, but be very, VERY careful. It's quite tricky for a first timer I'm sure. scott
