Subject: Front Bumper Removal/Fog Light Install
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Hi,

I am planning on installing some fog lights on my 87 Westy. I picked up some fog light brackets that were made for the Vanagon on Ebay a few weeks back. Apparently, in order to install the brackets, I have to remove the front bumper. My Bentley shows instructions for removal of the later, fiberglass covered bumpers. Haynes shows how to remove bumpers without the rubber trim strip. Looks simple enough.

However, I want to remove the rubber strip without damaging it. Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks.

Ric
