And that was my reaction when reading that thread on The Samba.  That's a
fully loaded Vanagon.  I know how the handling of my '90 Westy changes when
I get just 500 lbs of astronomy gear loaded and take off for the mountains.
I can't imagine what the handling would feel like with that high a load
especially if  running on the wrong tires.
