Not to mention that blue is a very difficult illumination under which to read things clearly, because your eyes have to keep changing focus between the blue and any other colors in the environment. Extreme example of this is blue field with red lettering or vise versa -- it shimmers and vibrates and is generally hard to look at. In optical terms, your single-element, water-based eye lenses have a lot of chromatic abberation, which the extensive in-line image processing deals with as well as it can. Blue is cool, but functionally it sucks.
