dear intrepid

several questions to ask your self before you start 1. is this my only vehicle .. if so -- am i under a time constraint to finish immediately after i start -- 2. do i have a work space that is clean and dry 3 is it my work space or if i share can i leave parts spread around over a couple of days while i work and other stuff draws my attention 4. will i be able to give this task my full attention or will i have to go get the kids and transport around every hour -- 5. will my wife person support the task or complain cause i am leaving other jobs undone while i play with my van -- 6. will meals be presented to me while i work or will i have to go inside and make meals too -- 7. do i have the tools required for the task --even the rudimentary ones outlined in maintenance and repair manuals -- 8. are the tools i dont have easy to obtain or will i have to buy several hundred $ worth just to do a single task 9. how will i get under vehicle -- hoist .. jacks ... blocks ... 10. am i physically able to do the task ... or will repeated crawling out form underneath the vehicle each time i remember a tool cause me to be strained 11. do i have a person checking on me to make sure i am not crushed under vehicle or wounded in some way that renders me unable --- 12. do i have a person who i can call on the phone who can come over to help me figure out or do stuff with me that i cant fathom on my own --

13... what is my track record with R & R jobs with my van ---

once those questions are answered ... you may be able to make your decision to make the repairs -- good luck yours
