Jake, I know you are going to think I'm kissing your ass a little after our recent skirmish, but I have to jump in and agree. Recently I transported an svx motor, above the engine compartment in my Syncro. I posted about this experience several months ago. That SVX is one heavy motor and, though it would not be recommended to make any sudden moves, the proof was in the ride stability, while going straight, at highway speeds. That was the most stable ride I ever experienced in a Syncro. It made me smack myself on the head! When I go into the back country, I always carry everything nice and low, not up top (it's a hightop AW) and this apparently was never enough weight, but when I put the SVX (500lbs?) back there, it was heavenly. Not really wanting to get into the tire thread. Just saw that there was one significant thing here and wanted to agree with the front/back weight thing. As far as the tires, if it feels good, do it......unless someone else's life depends on it (like your kids or someone you love.........) in that case, buy Load E, if you can find them. That's what I'm running, but these are 16s and it may not apply to this thread. Thanks, Miguel
