Replace the starter bushing (on clutch housing) Inspect ground strap at front tranny mount and clean it's contact points. Inspect wires to starter for cracks (casing) and ensure connectors are secure on wires. On my '81 removing the starter is pretty easy. I would imagine your starter would be similar in that regard. When it starts to fail, dealing with it at that point shouldn't be too hard.
