I think they pretty much snap in there like the old ones. Mine are so loose(2 of the 4) that I used some of the 3M strip caulk in tiny amounts to help hold them on and maybe save them(and my wallet) from ruin. There's some billet stainless steel center caps with VW logo on them being sold on ebay for the same price as the plastic originals now.
