I've asked Poppie if he can find out the ampere-hour rating of the intended battery. My guess is that if every square centimeter of the top of the Vanagon was covered in photovoltaic cells and the vehicle was placed in direct sun that it would take several days to charge that battery. That's my guess, I'll wait to see if we can get the numbers for the battery.
