Hey Dan, most of us have had some kind of tranny rebuild, whether auto, manual 2wd or syncro....they are all expensive, right? Well worth the price in my mind. I love the way these things drive and am a believer in the Vanagon platform. Even if you spend, spend, spend, you are ahead of the big payments for a spiffy new car. I have a 2.3 GoWesty engine in a 2wd. How do you like yours?
