I found that temperature /is/ a contributing factor in my case. Read on . . .

Yeah. When it's cold I wear gloves. When I wear gloves I am more clumsier. As a result, when I turn the key some of the other keys go into that gap and sound the horn.

Pay attention. Problem solved.
