If it is an HP Omnibook (a laptop also known as a notebook) it
can be taken apart pretty much completely. Mine was taken apart
many times to fix an intermittent boot problem. It turned out to
be a problem of the connection (tiny sockets) between the graphic
card and the motherboard. I picked up a few defective ones from
an electronics surplus store. Took all of them apart and combined
parts to make a good one. The only thing I did not take apart was
the LCD screen. I ended up with 3 such Omnibooks that worked.
