Definitely NOT. "Maximum" has nothing to do with "recommended" or "correct." If using the type of tire recommended by the manufacturer (size and load rating), also use their recommended pressure. "Maximum" means "do not exceed." In most cases, correct pressure is significantly less.

There are multiple ways of determining proper pressure if running a non-standard size, but in all cases, the manufacturer's recommendation is going to be closer than the maximum pressure stamped on the sidewall.
