Subject: SoCal Window Tint Referrals

I'd like to have my Westy's windows tinted. Today I got 2 estimates. One was for $150, but I would have to remove the rear cabinet. If I don't remove the cabinet, he will only go about 1 ft beyond the cabinet (ridiculous!) and he would only cover the part of the sliding windows that he could reach from the inside, so about 1/2 inch of the sliders wouldn't be covered.

The other estimate was for $200, and the guy said it would be a lot of work, but he didn't seem to have a plan as to how it would be done!

A few months ago, a guy estimated it sight unseen at $240. In that same shop, the owner's 60-ish Westy was gutted and undergoing an "EXTREME" remodeling like they do on "Pimp My Ride." Seeing this, I would tend to believe that he's capable of window-tinting a Westy, but not 100% convinced.

Is there anyone in the Southern California area who has had their WESTY windows tinted, is pleased with the work, and can recommend the shop that did it? I live in the Los Angeles area, but wouldn't mind a little bit of a "drive" to get the work done if I could count on it being done properly, and the price is fair for the work done.

Thanks. Patti 90 Westy automatic
