I heard once that a gallon of gasoline has the approx. the same power as a stick of dynamite.......

I've seen someone get a big surprise after putting a quart or so of gasoline on a big pile of brush and throwing kitchen matches at it from about as far away as you can throw a kitchen match.

I'm not sure if the bigger surprise was the great big FOOMP! or when he went looking for his eyebrows later. His young son and I were a lot farther away and we still found it pretty surprising. Of course that was *good* gas.

But I'd suggest if you're not already experienced with mixing campfires and gasoline, to look on You-Tube for some of the folks who got it wrong, first. The stuff's a lot closer to black powder than it is to kerosine.
