Let us agree to disagree...

When it comes to Vanagon tires, there is a lot of myth, magic and truth. If you want to be sure about your tires, run VW specified 14" tires. There you can find truth.

When it comes to 15", 16" or bigger. It's all conjecture since none of us has done the engineering tests to determine what is, or isn't, correct.

Personally, I don't like the skinny 14" tires specified by VW (even the 205s), so I have 15" wheels with 225s on all my Vanagons (actual tire names omitted due to legal requirements).
