Hi Doug, I used to have that same problem when I was running a 2.1 WBX. Turned out to be a vacuum leak. Check all your hoses on the topside of the engine and look for old, worn, cracked segments, especially at the ends. I simply changed all my vacuum lines on and about the engine and the problem went away. That being said, however, there are other gremlins that can cause your problem as well. Good luck.
