Yup. Cheap ain't no good! But as I knew, and am learning in a different way, good tools will never cure bad technique. (or at least a lack of knowledge) Pretty interesting. My first time welding on a vehicle. The patch got done and should hold fine, but ain't pretty. <rolls eyes> Speaking of "ain't pretty", I was so intense thinking about safety, work position etc., I forgot to turn on the frickin shielding gas! My first pass looked like pigeon excrement! I need a dang lift. Welding a patch onto my Westy's subframe while lying on my back holding my upper body in position (with like, zero core muscles) and working with poor lighting sucked.
