I repaired my 84 upper grill using plastic epoxy, and gluing a small piece of aluminum on the backside. I was able to mold it pretty well, and finished it off with some bond-o, then painted it with "Trim Black" http://paint-and-supplies.hardwarestore.com/50-272-epoxy-adhesives/loctite-p lastic-epoxy-108771.aspx You can hardly see the repair, and this is the original grill too! http://www.flickr.com/photos/77623993@N00/2634100682/in/photostream/ Jack R. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Rob Sent: Thursday, March 26, 2009 2:45 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Grill fix glue? It's time to try and fix my '84 Vanagon grill, the lower grill has a couple of broken slats and I have the slats. Any recommendations on glue that works well for this type of plastic?
