I'd check two things. There's a float in the brake fluid reservoir. Move the float up and down while watching the light and see if the light goes out. If not, check the switch. I think the float going down closes the switch to turn on the light. If that is so, pull the connector off the back of the master cylinder and see if light goes out. If I'm wrong and it is wired the other way, see if jumping the two wires in the connector makes it go out.
Also check to see if everything is alright at your emergency brake handle. There is a switch there similar to the switches in the door jambs for the interior lights. When the parking brake handle goes down it should press on the switch and open the circuit. If something is wrong at the switch, that could cause trouble, too.
Good luck, Ed in CT > Just took a quick drive and noticed the brake light on. Wasn't there > yesterday. Added some fluid to the tank and still on. Brakes work really > well.
