I wondered about bugs when he mentioned the smell, but I thought they only liked diesel. The diesel bugs, btw, that I sucked out of a too-skinny clogged pipe fitting on a 57-foot dragger yacht drifting half way between Nova Scotia and Maine, didn't smell -- or taste -- any different than regular diesel. But with my mouth full like a chipmunk I had a lot of trouble getting the other guys to understand that I needed a cup to spit in, now please...I believe they thought I was nuts at first. Engine ran fine after.
