In order to head off any thread regarding unsubstantiated blame...I try to be pretty fair. Until I walk through this with my son and ask him face-to-face, I cannot start to blame anyone. And if it IS the responsibility of Firestone, I agree that if oil was contained in overflow and sampling of hot enigine coolant doesn't show traces of oil, I just want them to know what they did. However, If oil circulated, I WILL insist on compensation for another shop to do the flush. No more, no less. Mistakes happen, but scared the shi@ out of me for a second and cost about 3 hours of my time. Thanks again for the input. Michael in San Antonio 91GL AT 'Gringo' 73 Beetle
