Some of us (me) are too clever by half.  I spent years thinking about
how to make a thin wedge prism to stick on the back window that would
redirect the view from lower down up to the existing mirror.  Now I
feel like a twit.  Glad I didn't actually put beaucoup hours into
actually trying to make one and polish it.
