.  We carry extra chairs, table, big cooler, dutch ovens & charcoal, fire starter, a small Weber grille, large dog, & our clothes, toiletries, etc. in the westy, & are able to be completely ready for cocktails in camp in 5 minutes.

YMMV,

Mr. BZ

We pack much the same way and it is quite doable.  There is one swingaway rear carrier with a built-in streamlined box with integrated lights (Rola?) that might be less clumsy than some others, but you don't want to take too much stuff.  Consider a swingaway for the rear for hatch and engine access.  Very clumsy otherwise.  You can actually fit too much into the van.  Maybe one of those other carriers for extended wilderenss camping, but probably not needed in normal travel with access to stores as you need things.   Stephen
