I had a 4" Makita, cost around $70 IIRC ten years ago.  Liked it a
lot.  Got stolen.  Have a 4.5" Milwaukee now, like it too, cost
around $110 five years ago.

4" is handier, 4.5" stronger and has a great deal more usable
abrasive in a disk.  Without doing the numbers, could be twice as
much material for nowhere near twice the price.

For the uninitiated, all species of angle grinders will throw great
big fat sparks fifteen feet, that will instantly make little craters
in any glass they land on.  The molten metal bonds to the glass, then
shrinks as it cools and *ping"
