yes, that's true,
and here's a tool that will REALLY get into small places.
I use a Makita die grinder.
the spinning end is straight off the end, not 90 degrees like a regular disc
grinder.
and the cutting tools that fit in this die grinder........it does 14,000 ,
or more, rpm btw..
I only ever need this one bit for it ................
it's cone shaped, very, very pointy and about a inch long, and about 10 mm
thick at the widest point.
And the material that the cutting bit is made of is super hard. I've been
using this one bit for a few years, just never seems to wear out.
And where it will fit.........you can open up the inside of an 8 mm bolt
hole if you need to - makes a perfect 'combination dirll / tiny grinder '
.......like surgical grade even. There are many sizes and shapes of bits
for it of course, and when you need it ......
it's the kind of tool you *really* need, when you need it.
Bit expensive I imagine, but good for decades of use.
my makita 'drill gun' ...........cordless, I've gotten 23 years out of it
before the switch finally gave out, and it was 12 bucks for that new part
at a makita repair company. That's the equivilant of 400,000 miles in my
mind...........i.e. makita stuff almost never ever wears out.

can't recommend it highly enough. Indispensible when you need it, and will
dig or cut through anything - metal chips just fly. And with a pointy bit
on it, get into the tiniest places.
