Hi Jerry,

I've used a flat blade/standard screw driver and a little
encouragement with a hammer. There is a flare, or lip on that outer
rim of the cap that keeps it from sliding further into the hub and
between it and the hub is where I tap the blade into, using the
hammer, then twist the screw driver. Be patient. You could also use a
rubber mallet and whack the side of the cap, going around it and
eventually it will pop off. Go around the cap equally so you don't get
it wedged a little sideways.
