Hi all. I'm installing new rotors on my '81 Westy. I searched archives and googled a little, but didn't see mention of this. Do the surfaces on the rotors need to cross hatched with emery/sandpaper? If so, why? To help bed the new pads? On my Honda Accord, the new front rotors had a cross hatch pattern on each face. Hence my question.
Thanks! Neil. -- Neil Nicholson '81 VanaJetta 2.0 "Jaco" http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/ http://groups.google.com/group/vanagons-with-vw-inline-4-cylinder-gas-engines |
