Ok, so for my edification...... Why would the light be brighter when alternator (presumably) spinning faster? If a component on the alternator was nearly worn out, wouldn't that trigger the light when it's spinning slower? Or am I just thinking like a "generator" ? ;) (referring to me thinkin' back to my '58 Beetle days. 6 volt system, engine idling, wipers barely moving and the gen light flickering) Neil.
