Ok, so for my edification......

Why would the light be brighter when alternator (presumably) spinning faster?

If a component on the alternator was nearly worn out, wouldn't that trigger the light when it's spinning slower?

Or am I just thinking like a "generator" ? ;)

(referring to me thinkin' back to my '58 Beetle days. 6 volt system, engine idling, wipers barely moving and the gen light flickering)

Neil.
