Subject: New Front Brake Rotor Question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

I'm installing new rotors on my '81 Westy. I searched archives and googled a little, but didn't see mention of this.

Do the surfaces on the rotors need to cross hatched with emery/sandpaper? If so, why? To help bed the new pads?

On my Honda Accord, the new front rotors had a cross hatch pattern on each face. Hence my question.

Thanks!

Neil.
