This looks like a very nice solution http://tinyurl.com/dayxct. It is a bit pricey, but I am sure it is worth every penny. I would love to buy one. jake ________________________________ From: jerry cantor <jerry233@GMAIL.COM> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, April 1, 2009 7:19:28 PM Subject: front bumper mounted bike rack I hope someone might know where to look for one of those front bumper mounted bike racks you see around town occasionally. The ones that clamp onto the bumper, then there is an upside-down U-shaped piece of metal that has a prong for two bikes up just below the windshield. I don't like having my bikes on a rack mounted onto the rear hatch, makes it too hard to get access inside. And I'm too cheap to buy a hitch and rack that swings out of the way in the rear. I've googled and ebay-ed to no avail. Thought someone here might be of help. Thanks. Jerry Boise 1987 Westy |
