But it's clear from the picture that the five engines don't have a common crankcase, and as you said you can see the balancers. And they went from idea to full production on this in two months or less, they didn't want any more special parts than they absolutely needed. Made it real easy to fix -- if you could figure out which engine was misbehaving.
