Thanks for all the responses, I'll see if I can pick up a 'stripe remover' wheel. A little more info. When I bought my '90 Westy seven plus years ago it had no Westfalia logos on the the top. It had been repainted by the PPO (and such a good, professional job that the PO didn't believe it had been painted) and the logos never replaced. I ordered a set and put them on. The front is still fine but the rear has picked up road grime/grease/etc over the years and turned grungy and black. So I ordered another set and I've finally got some good weather to put them on, at least on the rear. The existing decal is absolutley no clear coated, I put it on myself. I'll post the results, off to the auto body supply store for their advice and probably purchase a 'wheel'. |
